Fish Pond Air Compressor

Everything about Pond Aeration Everyone knows that pond with fish needs good amount of Oxygen. Life without oxygen is impossible and a pond with less amount of Oxygen can hold only less number of fish. To support large amount of fish in a captive pond, you need to provide external Air (which will contain Oxygen). Pond with fish will generate a huge amount of toxic air from the waste and decomposed material at the bottom and hence the bottom of the pond will always lack Oxygen. A lot of people use spray bars or fountains to re-circulate water thru fresh air by means if which Oxygen is added to the water. This was harmful gases will be released to the atmosphere and Oxygen gets added because the surface area of water getting in contact on the moving water will increase. Its always advisable to leave the surface (top) of the pond free from Water lilies and lotus plants because these plants cover the top, the maximum area will not have access to fresh air. Otherwise you need to have Heavy duty Air pump and Fountains to do this job. Please also note that higher the temperature of the water, lesser will be the amount of oxygen in that water. Water temperature should be always around 27C. In winters the amount of Oxygen required by the pond will be lower due to two reasons a) Lower water temperature can hold more Oxygen and b) Fish respiration will be lower. If you see fish most of the time gasping for air on the top of the pond or bad odour from the pond, thats a sign that you need to start looking for options to give fresh air to the pond water. Always keep a spare pump even if its of lower output as a spare handy just in case your main pump goes off. Heavy bio load can kill your fish and hence its advisable to keep check on the Oxygen in water.Air pumps of different categories and price are available today in the market and when selecting the pump, please keep in mind the following facts.
  • How much air per hour do you need to supply
  • How big is the pond
  • How deep you need to penetrate air. Not necessary that all air pumps can take air to the depth you are looking at.Hi blow pumps are always recommended for more than 3 feet deep ponds.
  • How many air stones needs to be used to circulate enough air in the pond. Equal distribution of air is a must.
  • How much fish you have stocked in the pond
  • Check if the pumps are serviceable and spares are available readily before investing.

Difference between cold-pressed and expeller-pressed oil?

Difference between cold-pressed and expeller-pressed oil? I have explained the difference between Expeller Pressed Oil and  Cold Pressed Oil . Processing Methods:- Expeller Pressed Oil: Processed at higher temperatures, typically around 210 degrees Fahrenheit. The pressure apply heat on the oil source . Cold Pressed Oil: Processed under heat-controlled environment and temperatures that never exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Differences in Nutrient Content:- Expeller Pressed Oil: There is enough loss of nutrients due to the expeller pressing method. Cold Pressed Oil: Because  cold-pressed oil  is processed at lower temperatures does not alter the properties of the oil which contains a higher phenolic and nutrient content than expeller-pressed oil. Cold pressed oils retain all their flavour, aroma, and nutritional value, making these oils great for cooking and skin care requirements. They contain zero grams of trans fatty acids and are natur...

Air Pumps & Aquarium Aeration

The choice of air pump depends on the purpose you are going to use the pump for. Generally air pumps are used for:  1) Ornamental Purpose like turning valves, spinning wheels, lifting things, creating artificial underwater waterfall etc. 2) Air stones in the tank which generate bubbles or give off a fine mist of air. 3) Some filters, such as corner filters and under gravel filters are driven by air and would require an air pump. 4) Some underwater habitats for semi-aquatic animals, such as Newts, Crabs, Mudskippers, and some Frogs or Shrimp also require an air pump to keep fresh air circulating into the enclosure so that these animals do not crawl out into an unaerated environment. 5) Air pumps can also be used to create a current in the water, to prevent parts of the tank from becoming stagnant.  6) Air pumps are required for some types of protein skimmers to operate in marine tanks. Two of the key features of any kind of air pump is to increase the surf...
